Murzilka magazine

I had several children magazine subscriptions when I was little (and when USSR was up and running). One of them was Murzilka magazine.

Murzilka is a name of yellow furry dog-bear-whatever character. He was the host of this magazine and was mentioned in comic strips, articles and letters from readers.



This popular children's literary magazine has been published since May 1924 and has never missed a release. Not even during the war. From May 1924 to May 2011, more than 1020 issues of the magazine were published. In 2011, Murzilka entered the Guinness Book of Records as the “longest-running children’s magazine”.
